that good ol’ bleaching cream.

she was beautiful the way she was.

This photo made me change the way I felt about Iman, which was incredibly positive to begin with. It’s almost hard to believe that the two are the same person. I can respect the strides she made as a black and African woman in the fashion and modelling world, but only to a certain degree.

I refuse to believe it. Say it ain’t so Iman, say it ain’t so!

EATING FRUIT BY: Dr. Oz

Do you see this girl on the right? That’s my fourteen year old sister, Ashleigh. She has depression. She thinks she’s ugly and fat. She is beautiful. She’s planned suicide twice now. She cuts. With ANYTHING she can find. Screws, pencils. She burns herself with erasers. She’s in a mental ward. She’s been there for 5 weeks now, and she might be put in residential for months. She’s my everything and I can not stand to see her do this to herself. She is gorgeous. I’m asking the amazing people of tumblr to do something for me. I’m trying to get 100 letters to give to her. Write her something, color a picture for her, send a picture of yourself and your story. She needs little things like this. I think that Tumblr has the power to change this girls life.
If you want to send her a letter, or color a picture, or a friendship bracelet or anything like that, Message me. Together we can get 100 letters to give to my sister.
Please reblog and help her.

My Life as an NBA Superstar Single Dad In a editorial for Newsweek magazine, NBA star Dwayne Wade wrote about his emotional battle for custody of his two sons, Zaire and Zion and his plans for fathers day 2011.
Wade wrote:

“I can’t say what we’ll do for Father’s Day, because since my sons came to live with me about two months ago, every day has been like Father’s Day. I just want people—men, and men of color in particular—to hear my story and know that their children need them and that it’s their responsibility to be there for them. We have to step up as men and do our part. There are no excuses.”

Wade was recently appointed by President Obama to a new parenting program geared toward encouraging fathers to become more involved in their children’s lives.
